If you’ve experienced Stephen King’s tome, you know the drill here but here’s the Cliff’s Notes version if you haven’t already read. I know you’ll pick it up straight after this feature, it’s OK. The book isn’t split as cleanly as the movies but the story takes place over two time periods. One, with the Losers as children and the other with them returning to Derry as adults to find that they didn’t rid the town of the evil monster after all. Uh, and indeed, oh. Watch It 2 (2019) More Information :::

It: Chapter 2 is out September 6 so there’s still a bit to wait but thankfully there’s a veritable clown car’s worth of information out there. Below, I take a look at the changes from the book, break down that Hollywood cast, and take an in-depth look at *that* first trailer. Here’s everything you need to know about It: Chapter Two. And don’t let the horror stop there. Once you’re finished, feel free to head over to our upcoming horror movies to see other ways to be afraid (very afraid) this year.

Fast Facts:
It: Chapter 2 release date: September 6, 2019
It: Chapter 2 director: Andy Muschietti
It: Chapter 2 cast: Bill Skarsgard, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard
It: Chapter 2 writer: Gary Dauberman

That ringing your hear isn’t the deadlights, but good ol’ Mike Hanlon calling everybody back for round two. Yes, after months and months of deliberation, Warner Bros. has finally let loose its much-hyped teaser trailer for It: Chapter Two.
Staying true to their blood oath, The Losers’ Club have returned to Derry, Maine to close the proverbial book on Pennywise the Dancing Clown, only now they’re a little older, they’re a little wiser, and they’re a little more disparate.

But they’re also still frightened, as we see in the trailer. There’s the haunting of Mrs. Kersh that should no doubt raise the hairs of Constant Readers, and, yes, there’s the return of Georgie, whose zombie hands are still clutching that boat.

Watch below and grab the poster right after.

It: Chapter Two Poster (Warner Bros.)

As previously reported, the new adult cast includes Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denborough, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Andy Bean as Stan Uris, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, and, yes, Bill Skarsgard as good ol’ Pennywise.

Rest assured, their young equivalents — Wyatt Oleff, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Sophia Lillis — are all set to return and appear in emotional flashbacks.

Also returning is director Andy Muschietti, who’s working off a script by Gary Dauberman, who’s coming off some hot box office receipts for the not-so-hot Conjuring spinoff, The Nun. Sadly, there won’t be any echoes of Cary Fukunaga this time around.

It: Chapter Two hits theaters September 6th and is slotted to be one of the biggest releases of 2019. The first chapter, 2017’s It, went on to become the highest grossing horror film of all time and confirmed that, yes, Stephen King is bigger than ever.
